Iran is a nation with over 70% of its population as young people under the age of 35, and as you can imagine, it¹s overflowing with creative talent. The Iranian contemporary music scene has evolved over the past ten years to incorporate a myriad of global musical styles: Jazz, blues, bossa nova and Latin rhythms, west African, European classical, pop, rock and roll, heavy metal, progressive electronic, trance, dance, and most recently rap. Iranian musicians have taken these styles, fused them with parts of their culture and produced a music which is unique in style and atmosphere.
